If you're ever in a slow bar on a late Friday night, wondering where all the people are, you're not at Vieux Carre.

As I've only been there on Wednesdays and Fridays, I'd only recommend Vieux Carre only if you're looking for a club atmosphere on a Friday night or on Wednesdays if you're looking to watch the Fight Club they put on there which is fun. I've never been there on any other night, so I wouldn't know about "Teen Night" for example - but my guess is whatever they do its good.

Slammin' every Friday night! High energy, great dance music, live band, etc. I feel sorry for the people that left reviews that sound like they think they are better than everyone else, and say they didnt have fun. Of course they didnt have fun. They dont know how to have fun and think theyre better than everyone else! But seriously...the night I went we hit several clubs. Some were empty and some just had a bunch of people sitting/standing around. The people at Vieux Carre know how to party!

How about making "Teen Night" on Friday night instead of Saturday night?

This is only a good place to go if you like hot sweaty crowds of super-drunk people that are looking to get in fights. There is always someone puking in the bathroom, always fights, always broken glass all over and always people there looking for trouble. Quite possibly the worst place to go on a Saturday night

Get ready for an embarrassing experience if you are heading to Vieux Carre. Not that you will be embarrassed.. but you will surely be embarrassed for the people you encounter here.
This place is filled with people who should be at home with their teenage kids teaching them lessons about making friends and preparing for a life that doesn't include going to places like this in their future.
The nite I (mistakenly) visited Vieux Carre there was a theme... "Pimps and Hoes.." I witnessed a "Pimps and Hoes" party in college one time, and it was gross there, with semi attractive people in their early 20s. I can't even describe how disgusted I was by the people I saw at Vieux Carre in their "themed" outfits... not to mention dancing in the cages on the dance floor.
Being there one time and giving the low rating might seem a little judgmental.. but what can I say? Vieux Carre may work for some people, but I'm still too embarrassed to visit there again.

Interesting place with interesting people. You get all sorts in there, but usually a very fundamentally "missed the boat" group. Most people that go here are either too old to be in a club like this or too ugly to go downtown. The music is average, hence the sexy people that show up here. You think of bachorlette parties and this place gets those, but the parties are generally the mid-30's 2nd or 3rd marriage crowd. Drinks are pretty cheap as is the the people that spend money here. I feel for the bartenders. There are 2 cages on the little dance floor but the people that go in the cage belong more at the zoo than in this place. Couple pool tables in the back, plenty of seating cause it is never busy. Also there is an upstairs where in your drunkeness, you can poor drinks on people below. Funny thing is I have never in my life seen anyone sit up there, just go up, talk to the DJ and look down. It is connected to third base sports bar so if you get tired of dancing you can go through a door and yell at your favorite crappy team you know nothing about.

This place is more like a place to pick up VD's I think. The VC initials do it well, Viral Center. Check it out, it's worth $20 bucks on a saturday.
