Urbandale Cafe

If you have not been to the new location, you had better get yourself to the Urbandale Cafe for some fantastic eats! This place has everything covered for breakfast, and a fantastic menu for lunch as well! The full cereal bar is a hit with the kids. The price is right, the food is hot...I have been on many occasions and have yet to find a menu item that disappoints! The service is great, a professional, yet fun and laid-back atmosphere. You gotta try this place! The breakfast food is low priced and high quality, and the lunch menu is just as fabulous!!!

First of all, Urbandale Cafe has moved to 3828 - 100th in Urbandale, phone 252-7394. The Thompsons bought the cafe from the owner when HyVee bought the old location. We were concerned that the new location would not be as good as the original -- but happy to report the food is even better! Best breakfast ever (best bacon, biscuit & gravy, cereal bar, chocolate chip pancake, steak & eggs to die for!). Have also had lunch ther -- hand breaded tenderloins are delicious, a hot beef sandwich I go back for time again. We are so glad the ORIGINAL Urbandale Cafe is still around !!!!!

Overrated, ordinary at best, nothing special at this greasy spoon. Canned vegetables and fruits and orange drink as opposed to real juice. One would do better to seek Drake Diner or even IHOP (which is surprisingly better than Urbandale Cafe)

Best breakfast in the city. Very high quality products. Very underrated burger. Hash browns with whatever you like; cheese, peppers.
