Best Pizza in Des Moines.
Funky atmosphere... love the "Trey is a Jedi" bumper sticker, but have yet to hear any Phish playing while visiting.
Crab Rangoon Pizza is fantastic as are the Thai Stix. The Jalepeno Bacon Popper Pizza is excellent as well.
The Drink Menu and fancy variety of Mugs rocks. If you go you must wear the fighter helmet and down a Kamikaze!!!

How fun is this place?! Love the idea, love the creative menu, love the creative drinks.

I've only been for lunch: $5 slice & salad. I had a spinach Alfredo slice and it was so good. The salad was the standard mix greens w/ a forgettable dressing, but I'll forgive them for that. Everything else was great and I was with four other diners with four different slices and everyone loved theirs.

Service was perfect. It was just a enjoyable place.

It would be a rare night for my wife and I to go out downtown and not get dragged to Fong's.

The location was formerly Des Moines' oldest chinese restaurant, so when Fong's took over they decided to retain that chinese theme and make amazing pizzas.

Every night you can get any of 4 unique pizzas by the slice super late. They have things like rueben pizza, crab rangoon pizza, jalapeno and corn pizza, etc.

There is plenty of room to dine in or carry out here. The atmosphere is awesome and they have an excellent beer selection (as well as some crazy tiki-drinks). I suggest you dine-in some evening or stop in for a late night snack and watch the drunken shenanigans.

Also, ask to wear their bomber helmets. It makes eating pizza more awesome.

Try the tiki drinks - I had them all and each one is delicious. Haven't tried all the pizzas yet though.
