Went here Saturday night with some friends after attending the Lewis Black show. Overall food was good, but the Long Island Ice Tea and Electric Lemonade were awful.
Chain restaurants serve their purpose in food community. They offer decent prices, variety of food and usually good drink specials. However with the saturation of these places it is hard finding good service. That is what we came across while visiting TGIF's or Fridays. We went on a Saturday night; we could tell it was moderately busy (mainly with large families). Our host was so rude to us, we told him "2 for first available" he told us "30-45 minutes" and stood there almost like he wanted us to leave, I told him "That's fine, we'll wait at the bar" looking around the wait was about 10-15 minutes, I don't know the motivation of overly estimating. So at the bar we went, we both wanted a drink, 3 and sometimes 4 bartenders and 10 minutes later we were still waiting for even an acknowledgement and we were sitting in the front of the bar in plain site. At this point Burger King was looking good. Our buzzer went off exactly 11 minutes after our arrival and our host who was engaged in conversation with other hostess handed us the menus and pointed to an empty table about 5 feet away. Nice, seating ourselves. It is a good thing our waitress was accommodating and friendly. And our food was very good. We both had dinners off the Jack Daniels menu with chicken sesame appetizer, which was really good and perfect size. During the entire time we could see our host and the other hostess conversating and ignoring other guests, what a horrible first impression and while we headed out the host kicked the door open for us, what a horrible last impression.
