Romano's Macaroni Grill

Have been to Macaroni Grills before in other states, so we gave this one a try since we are new to Iowa. In our party of four, all were disappointed in limited menu and food quality. The service was nice however and the prices are reasonable. All in all, there are better options for Italian food in the area.

Compared to Biaggis, this place doesn't hack it. I have been here a few different times and the food has never been above average. Just average at best. I prefer Olive Garden to this and that's saying alot because I think Olive Garden is too cookie cutter of a place. Try Biaggis or Centro for good Italian.

UGH. Bland, overcooked pasta, bland sauces like library paste, bland who-gives-a-damn service. Some of the best Italian food in the Midwest is in Des Moines. Don't bother with this Olive Garden beta version. 1/2 star, only because the food has some nutritive value.

Highly overrated! I don't know why anyone goes here, honestly. The menu is VERY limited and the food isn't good. I like their use of rosemary.....that's all.
