Our first time there was tonight. Small but intimate. The food was outstanding! All five of us had a different thing and the chef made a custom vegan burrito for my daughter. Sauces are complex and so wonderful. Needless to say, we all cleaned our plate. I took home a homemade piece of homemade dessert too. One of our new favorite places for sure.
I have to say that I was absolutely shocked by El Chisme. The restaurant itself is a strange mixture of Italian and Mexican food. The restaurant is small and the service SUCKS! I went to this restaurant with a group of four people. We walked in the front door and hung around inside for a few minutes. The restaurant was pretty dead and none of the employees were paying any attention to us. We decided to seat ourselves. After ten minutes the waiter finally came to the table and everything was okay from this point.
I ordered the spicy chips and queso dip for an appetizer and the super taco plate with al pastor for my entrée. The chips and queso are exactly what you would expect from a cheap Mexican restaurant.

I wish I could post pictures of the food on this website. The only restaurant that I can compare my entrée with is Dos Rios. I had three large tacos on my plate with pinto beans, salsa, Mexican rice, and a sliced radish for garnish. My plate of food was OUTSTANDING! The quality and the presentation of this food is top notch!
I highly recommend trying this restaurant. I’ve only had the one entrée so far but I will be going back to try other things.

The El Pastor Pizza is excellent! Ask for the green sauce to go with it - it's hot!
