Enjoyed watching MNF all season long there with some friedns. Sometimes there is not many others there but others it packs them in. The food is always good and the drink prices are reasonable. People need to come and just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere
Well this bar is not that busy i do enjoy going there on a Friday night and hanging out with friends. The prices are reasonable and the pork tenderloin is great. Plus it is smoke free whihc is a plus for me.

Talk about a dying bar in Des Moines, This is it. I have been there twice now in the past month, and only 2 patrons the first time, and this was at Happy Hour. The second visit wasn't much better, only 4 patrons and 2 of them, I think were employees. Good luck to the Game, but I will be watching elsewhere......

Great new bar that is smoke free, although the set-up to actually watch the game is somewhat small and I am guessing you would have to go really early to get a seat as the seating is elevated to watch two TV"s. However nice and cozy and SMOKE FREE! The owner was nice and still working out some kinks as the jukebox didn't work when we were there, killed the mood..we'll be back.

Seeing how I work here, my review may be a tad bit biased. I love this bar. Even though I'm a smoker, I am thrilled that it is nonsmoking. You can smoke on the patio. It's large and spacious, and very clean with 3 big screen t.v.'s, 2 plasma t'v.'s and 11 smaller ones. Even at it's busiest, there's room to move around. Please take into consideration that we've only been open for 2 months and we're still going through the hiccup stage, in other words, we're a work in progress. We have killer speicals, I can't remember them all, but here's a few...
Happy Hour Mon.-Fri. 3-7 .75 cents off all drinks and beers
Each night there's a different speical from 9pm-2am
Mon. - $5 domestic pitchers
Tues. - Buy 1 get 1 free on everything except food (as far as specials go, it doesn't get any better than this, except free booze...good luck finding that)
Sorry, I can't remember the rest..I'll update later.
During every Iowa or Iowa State game we have $1 brats and hotdogs (these are real hotdogs, not Oscar Meyer weiners).
Buckets of domestic beer (5 beers) are always $10
Pitchers of domestic beer are $6, unless there's a special
Drink prices are about .25-1.25 less than everywhere else.
The food is decent, nothing fancy, it's what you'd find at a game..cheeseburgers, nachos, breaded tenderloin, cheeseballs, pizza, wings, onion rings and fries, breaded mushrooms, chicken strips...you get the picture.
There's 1 pool table, 2 electronic dartboards, shuffleboard, 2 wild cherry machines, bowling, Golden Tee, Extreme Hunting, Megatouch. The staff is great, they're fun and accomodating...and for you boob men, the scenery is extraordianry. We're all a bit top heavy.
So, if you're tired of watching the game while sitting in a haze of smoke, being waited on by rude, incompetent, slow waitresses, and eating substandard food, then come on down, belly up to the bar and let us take care of ya
Big place, with nothing special going on. EXCEPT the awesome drink special on Wednesday night. Wednesday $2 draws. This includes Sam Adams, Boulevard, and all the domestic good stuff you're used to.
