I would agree, this is a lively "party-like" atmosphere. We went on a Saturday night at 8:00pm and it was so crowded inside, there is very little waiting area and so people we standing on top of diners, a little awkward.
I really enjoyed the drinks, food was great, the owner came over a few times and wanted to make sure we were having a good time. It was a good place to have birthday celebration.
The only downside was our actual waiter was not very attentive.
Sakari is a pretty decent place. They have some creative rolls and are definitely willing to party a bit.
One thing I didn't love about the place are that much of the interior felt cheap (from the hollow, house door in the entry way to the drop ceiling inside). I also feel like Des Moines has better sushi places with fresher fish. I typically favor Miyabi, Waterfront, and Taki over Sakari.
The Godzilla roll and the lobster roll are both must haves. Fish is fresh, service is great. Support your local business and come on down.
Be sure to try the Snake roll. It's fantastic (and does not contain snake.)
Dynamite Shrimp, Firecracker, and free saki bombs are how I roll every time.

The dynamite crab and dynamite shrimp are amazing!!!!
Sushi was excellent, took 30 minutes after we ordered to get it though so order an appetizer.
Enjoyed the dynamite shrimp appetizer and the tuna rolls!
