If you have never gotten a calzone from Noah's then you are just letting the best of life pass you by....
Started coming to Noah's in 1958 when moved here with parents. I moved away in 1961 but return a couple of times a year to visit family. I always head to Noah's for great pizza or lasagna and a basic but excellent italian salad that has been tops since I first ate there. Service has always been fine; decor never changes. A great place that has maintained top quality during my almost 50 years of patronage
We went late last saturday night (around 11 pm) and both the food and the service was surprisingly good. Loved the thin crust pizza! De-lish!
The place has an old supper club look and feel, and my date and I were by far the youngest people there (we're in our early 30s), but that won't disuade us from coming back again.
I would highly recommend the pizza for lunch or a late night snack. We need to go back again to try their other entrees...I'll post a second review if we return.
My family and I have been going to Noah's for dinner for the last 20 years. We have always enjoyed the food and service there until the last few years.
Service has slowed to a crawl, food delivery is slow and the quality of food has gone down the drain. Recently my family was there for dinner at 6:30pm. We didnt get to order until 7:30. Salads that used to show up immediately took another half hour. Food didnt show up for another hour and everyones order was cold. They took the food back to reheat it, but by then everyone had lost their appetite and it was going on 9:30pm. They wouldnt offer any kind of discount on the dinner either to make up for the inconvience.
Upsides were the appetizers and rolls were good and hot, but that is not enough to get my family to come back.
I've patronized Noah's for over 45 years. I've always found the food delicious, the atmosphere is good and no complaints about the service
Excelent food great service my familys favorite restaurant
Food was pretty good - but the demographics definately skew 50+... not a great date night place. Service was pretty poor the last time we visited.
I have been going to this restaurant on Ingersoll for 20 years. Their pizza is some of the finest in Des Moines and the baked ravioli is fabulous. They have a full italian menu as well as broasted chicken and seafood. Dinner comes with salad and bread. It is an older place which adds to the atmosphere and a good spot to stop for dinner before going downtown for the evening. I was only able to give them a 4 star rating because the last couple of visits the service has not been that great.
