Benchwarmers is a comfortable bar/grill where you can count on running into friends and neighbors. The service is excellent, the drinks are generous and the food is good bar food, reasonably priced. The place does need a good housecleaning, though. And the water tastes like chlorine - but who needs a glass of water when they're at the Bench!

Good place. Maybe the best in Ankeny for service, drinks and food. Not kid friendly. It is first a bar and then a diner.
